Busselton, Perth, Geraldton, Kalbarri

Sun peek a booing through the rain clouds

Hi once again from the West, we have now left the southern part of WA and are in Geraldton, have intentions of doing this a bit at a time otherwise it becomes to great a job to keep up with, so here goes.

Busselton we stopped here for a week with our friends Errol and Lyn who live just up the road from the park we stayed at. The Busselton CP close to the wharf.

Busselton Wharf/Pier/loading place Train

Busselton Wharf/Pier/loading place whatever?

This wharf is approx 1 mile long and a nice stroll last time we where here it was being fixed as 3/4 way it had been burned down by someone or so the story goes?

E & L showed us around Busselton and some pretty sights we visited. although most of the time we just caught up on good times we had. Had a little rain but what can one expect it is autumn after all.

Perth next we had intended to stay in Freemantle but just prior to leaving BST Fran and Paul invited us to stay at their place as they had plenty of room and that is what we did we stayed for 13 days from here to
Bianka, Fran, Paul and Sig

The HMAS Sydney Memorial Geraldton

Lit up at night
Ceiling with port and Starboard lights and ceiling of the lost crew

Sydney memorial a must to see since we last visited here the Sydney had been found at that time, now a new memorial has been added, this memorial is a pool, 5 tiered with the 634 sailors represented by Seagulls just above the water line, and the 635th Seagull in the middle representing the Sydney herself, this seagull faces in the direction of the Sydney's resting place, with her Lat. Long. position inscribed below it.

We visited the memorial both day and after dark and it leaves me speechless and proud to have been in the Royal Australian Navy.

Leaving Geraldton behind we did a big drive 35 km, to a place called Coronation beach,

Coronation beach lookout over the Camp ground

and spent3 nights here 100 meters from the beach warm weather made the stay very pleasant, had a nice spot,no fishing once again talking to people who tried it seems there was no fish here either but had a swim and walked on the beach and saw some great sunsets.

A Night Owly visitor
